Fabric is the single most important decision in any bespoke commission. It determines how a garment drapes, breathes, travels, ages and ultimately performs across the seasons and situations of your life. A cloth must be selected not by its Super number alone, but by its suitability to climate, professional context, travel frequency, desired formality and the longevity you expect from the finished piece.
Weight, texture, drape and durability must all be considered together. A lightweight high-twist wool may be ideal for a New York summer, while a heavier flannel serves the executive who spends winter months between boardrooms and airports. The right cloth disappears on the body — it moves without resistance, resists creasing under pressure, and develops character rather than deterioration over years of wear.
